1. Based on the thickness, the new brake shoe is generally around 1.5cm, and it will gradually become thinner after continuous friction during use. When the thickness of the brake shoe is only about one-third of its original thickness (about 0.5cm) when observed with the naked eye. Car owners will increase the frequency of self checks and be ready to replace them at any time. Due to the wheel hub design, some models do not have the conditions for visual observation and require tire disassembly to complete.
2. Listen to the sound, if the brake pedal is accompanied by the sound of iron friction or noise, immediately replace the brake shoes.
3. Based on foot feel, if it feels very difficult to step on it, it is often necessary to step on the brake deeper to achieve the previous braking effect, or if the pedal position is significantly low when emergency braking is applied, it is possible that the brake shoes have basically lost friction and need to be replaced.
